Shanti Shea An (b. 1993, Adelaide, Australia) is an emerging artist based in Canberra, Australia. While her practice is mainly centred around painting, she is also interested more broadly in the relationship between images and objects as well as between figuration and abstraction.
She is also interested in interior spaces and how these have been organised—as well as painted—throughout history. Alongside this interest, a fascination with histories and theories of gender inform her work.
She earned her BVA (First Class Honours) in 2016 and currently studying towards a Master of Art History & Curatorial Studies at the Australian National University in Canberra.
